Houston should just focus on upgrading the pf spot.

Beverly $3 Mil "guesstimate"
Harden $13,668,750
Parson $926,500 team opt
Big Al $16 Mil
Asik $5,225,000
total = 39 Mil

Garcia $6,400,000 team opt
delfino $3,000,000 team op
total= 9.4 Mil

Decline: Aaron Brooks, Greg Smith, Tim Ohlbrecht options

Amnestied Scola= 5.7 Mil
Total cap= 54 Mil

Than sign 2-3 more role players

Package: Trob + Lin for picks to a team that has cap space. They may fall for the Trob potential trap and forget about Lin's terrible contract :heh:

Ya'll as delusional as LAC fans thinking DeAndre tradable thinking someone wants Jeremy's contract. Jeremy is a backup PG who was vastly overpaid because of one extremely hot run. In all fairness, he will probably be stuck on Houston like Jordan will be stuck on LAC and to be honest, I am not even sold that LAC front office even wants to trade him.

Asik & Lin both make 8+ million. It only would have been 5 if their old teams matched. Plus Beverley I think is on a Chandler Parsons like contract. They signed all their random guys to 3 year deals where the last 2 are team options.

Berverly signed a really favorable deal but Parson is on a three year 2nd round rookie deal. Extremely favorable to Houston.

Contender for what?

Jefferson would be a great pairing with harden and asik though

To win the west. They wouldn't be the favorites, but they could give anybody a run for their money.

Houston's the youngest team in the league. It'll take them a few years to peak.

I like Milsap for them better than big Al because Paul is a little more versatile and has a little less mileage on him though they are the same age. But I also expect one of their young guns between Robinson and Terrance Jones to make a dramatic leap too. If that happens then the Rockets are set. An upgrade of Lin would be nice, but he doesn't kill them since Harden handles the ball so much. Still, if they can get Dwight and it only costs them Omer (who I love by the way) they should explore that option. Dwight may have his issues but if he is healthy him and Harden with Chandler Parsons still getting better would be a nightmare for the rest of the West.

All depends on what role model houston is looking for. Do they want the grizz n pacers model wit 2 traditional bigs, gasol/zbo, west/hibbert? Or do they want the new kraze and go with a smaller lineup a la mia wit a lebron in the 4, OKC when its crunch time moves ibaka to the 5 and plays durant in the 4.

I want toughness. We need an a$$hole in addition to a good pf. David West and Milsap seem to fit that role more than Jefferosn.

ALl them losing years and Jefferson aint never gotten mad.

Should he have been mad at management for not getting a player better than him?

and for the record he did get frustrated at the end with Minny

Big Al reunited with McHale would be a wise move.

C Asik
PF Big Al
SF Parsons
SG Harden
PG Royce White :troll:

If the lakers lose Dwight they aren't competing next year

They're not gonna take on asiks 8 million dollar deal, they'll let Kobe sit all year, dump Nash contract, tank for Andrew wiggins and then have 60 mil in cap room next summer to surround Kobe with good players :blessed:

They got 3 PF in the 1st round of the draft last year. Try giving them more than one year. Royce White might even come around

not at all

asik at 8 mil is a good value, but it doesnt make sense to have him on your books if youre trying to rebuild.

now dwight in a sign and trade for chandler parsons, that makes sense for the lakers.

Why would Dwight agree to sign if you taking away one of the only reasons to sign in Houston?

Real f**king talk, I was thinking about this as it is. You know if the Lakers got a chance to get the #1 pick, they gonna get the #1 pick. It's just that simple. Even a top 3 pick is a bonafide superstar in that draft. What to do with Gasol is the question?

you dont have to do anything with gasol, either let him walk or sign him for the low

he expires next season. only person they have to do something with is nash since he has 2 years left on his deal
