The defense did everything possible to win and the offense didn’t. Watson missed a handful of throws he shouldn’t have, but nothing was as egregious as a trick playcall to have Hopkins throw it. Whoever made that call directly swung the momentum for Carolina. It snatched at least 3 points off the board and gave 7 to the Panthers on the other end. Inexcusable.
