Even without throwing a touchdown, there’s a reason CJ is your quarterback and not Davis Mills. There were so many goofy ass Texans fans, saying stuff like starting Mills, the rest of the season, but the offensive line protected CJ like they protected Mills for the majority of those wins, then you should already know there would’ve been no contest. The defense came through at the right times and held it down and thankfully the offense came through with some clutch plays as well. Those tush push plays were garbage, but the first one was supposed to be a conversion in the first place. That was totally bogus.

I think I can confidently say this was one of the biggest wins in franchise history, maybe top 5. There was a LOT going against them. It was an ugly defensive game, but they pulled off clutch plays on both offense and defense to claim the game. That Pitre hit may have been the catalyst for the defense to really get after it. Rice and Kelce were short arming catches after that. Stingley practically got to do cardio again cause Mahomes wasn’t really looking in his direction. Any given Sunday is a real thing, cause the Texans could legit win out and put themselves in a GREAT position going forward. They can’t afford letdowns though.

Special shout out to Marks really digging rep. He had clutch runs down the stretch to put themselves game away. Dare needs love for that TD as well. Idk any Texan fan that wasn’t nervous seeing him come in good after basically being inactive several games. Cards, Raiders, Colts, Chargers…they have everything in front of them.
