Looking to move by the summer at the latest and im dead locked on Houston or LA. I was almost in Houston last year until i found a higher paying job in BR but it's time to GTF. Both have strong draws to me with the strongest being multitudes of races of people vs BR being just black/white. Money goes longer in Houston but maaaaaan i always saw myself eventually getting back to California. Being able to be at USC/Laker games, perfect weather, beaches. Only thing i'm not sure of is the job climate vs Houston. In houston i can get 10 days calls a day for work. Looking to put out job feelers in both markets in March/April and see what shakes. Can a breh get some grown up advice?

Houston by no objective measure can ever be considered top 5 in the world. Neither is LA, but it is a lot higher on the list than Houston.
Matter of opinion

Not enough Black people in LA for my liking. The cost of living in Cali is too high. Texas has a low cost of living and they're no state taxes.

I live in Austin, go to houston and dallas pretty frequently. Houston can be pretty tight.

For black people it is definitely nice, plenty of networking opportunities there too. Also with a few hrs you can drive to a few other dope texas spots.

But I will say, texas is texas. There's no many places like it, but it's a nice place to live and enjoy. It's just not ATL or Cali bruh.

Either of those are really hard to beat.
