What about Cashman? Pitching staff is straight but outside of Judge, Torres is the only everyday player with an OPS over .800 for yall. Take the team names away and just look at the roster and it makes sense that their season went how it went. I know he'll be the fall guy, but I'm not sure how much he's really to blame

You hear people say they never heard an unkind word about someone, and usually it ain't true. In Brooks' case, I really think it is. He truly was a man of the people, and in that city, it meant everything.
I met him a couple times as a young'un. Didn't really know/appreciate who he was back then, but always remembered just how down to earth and genuinely kind he was to me. Spoiled me quick, 'cause I thought all sports figures were like that.
Man was a HOF human being who happened to be pretty good at baseball, too.
