I tell folks all the time, this dude was not that dude like yall think he was in the 90s

This is a lil left but this dude is spitting facts. Not me either

I’m not even the biggest Jay fan but this dude keeps moving the goalpost between best rapper of the year and who sold the most

Also to say Jay was nobody before his second album RD went gold quicker then either of 2 Pacs first two albums

2 Pac didn’t become a mega star until death row and then his first two albums started becoming multi platinum so why does it matter that Jay wasn’t multi platinum out the gate but not for Pac?

I believe it's an accurate assessment with the exception of that 2001 year. I remember Nas being a force in that 01 year.

I gotta to stop you on that, 2pac had the number 1 album while in prison with Me Against the World.

You can say Jay became a Mega star when he started dating Beyonce.

There seems to be something going on and I think it's deliberate. Not sure whether this is people mad about Roc Nation's influence or whether it's just these youtube channels are running out of fringe Pac/Biggie associates to interview but shyt is weird.

Compare sales in 1990/1 to sales in 1995/6 brehs…sales literally got turbocharged in 93/94, completely different landscapes. West coast wasn’t really on when pac dropped and he dropped on a bootleg ass label out of Richmond ca, vs Def Jan backed Roc A Fella. And pac was a mega star during MATW

The Chronic was already out when Pac dropped his second album

But forget sales then I’m not knocking Pac my point is I don’t get holding it against Jay not being a mega star right out the gate after his first album. Neither was Pac

So you really disputing them saying Pac, DMX, and 50 got more love around the country than Jay-Z.

They actually are holding back on just how much nikkas don’t fukk with Jay-Z, you can see Spice holding back from what he really want to say.

I wish Pimp was still here.

I didn’t say that. Also its posters in here from bay saying that’s not exactly true
