Kendrick like 40 and I'm hearing him everywhere. This genre is not what it was 40 years ago.. you’re supposed to have older cats rapping at this point to keep the genre going. You especially need it now at a time where rappers either fall off after a couple years or end up dying somehow.

He's one artist though. And he's changed up his style to be more palpable for the current gen

GNX was a great album, but it's not the same level of complexity nor near as long as his past work. Young fans ain't trying to listen to all that, but I do appreciate how kendrick has been walking the line between lyricism and vibe music

Everybody can't do that though. See how cole and drake have become shells of their former selves. Not to mention all the other names who have slipped out of the limelight
