Asia period needs to be studied. They understand what entertainment means in the new generation without doing the most.

Its very simple:

  1. Remake that vintage sound with a flare
  2. Create microwave content with good looking people, 4k food, and upclose feet zoom ins for the k drama
  3. Make movies that have scripts that the western market won't touch until it's a success and somehow fukk it all up with the remake
  4. Put the politics and nonsense aside to focus on the quality at hand
  5. Cheapen the studio production
  6. ???
  7. Profit
When you have Netflix spend the bag on mostly Easten content and most of the western counterpart is crime drama, it's official that western entertainment is COOKED!
Labels over there just understand the importance of artist development. Labels over here could give a fukk less, and it's evident in how quickly artists come and go here. Over here the mentality of labels is cop and blow.

Exactly. They go HARD for the artists from looks to marketing.

Theres a reason why BTS still got the boppers going crazy, and Justin Bieber not popping in 2025 because what's the point in marketing a artist, when they can do the shyt themselves and rely on what's left of the fan base that gives a shyt.

Plus they are old school with the steez. You have Asian fans copping and supporting shyt on a physical level.

Over here I gave up on collecting music because it's a expensive habit, when I can just use Apple Music.

Over there it's appreciation, over here it's over consumption. Thus why AI music is the wave that labels are pushing. Hell, you don't hear the eastern market complaining about ai music because it's getting the fukk out.

Yep...I was thinking this last night while watching crunchyroll but the East won the market for entertainment.

  • Cartoons are now anime
  • Most of the boppers bumping kpop
  • Movies and TV theirs
If western sports continue to fukk over it's customers by having them watch 30 streaming subscriptions to see one fukking football game, all Netflix gotta do is throw the bag at Japanese and Korean Futbol leagues and it's a wrap.

The innovation of American music has taken a nose dive over the last few decades and this is the ultimate result.

Korean culture still holds music and art as a respected tradition and most of these KPop producers and dancers were trained in university or at church which is a serious combination in the world of production and that pipeline garnered a dedicated fandom.

The Korean work ethic for production can't be matched currently by modern producers...

Korean entertainment, particularly K Pop, is subsidized by the government

Taking over the world through media was very deliberate
If we keeping it a bean, Korean entertainment is basically a propaganda tool to show the wonders of South Korea. No different from when WWE does those Saudi shows and try to sprinkle that whole "Saudi acceptance" shyt in-between matches while the women wrestlers dress up like VR Troopers.

South Korea does this to keep heads from not seeing the REAL South Korea, from the overkill work culture, the huge rich Vs poor economic focus, the reality of white idolising (plastic surgery) and so forth.

Is it a bad thing? questionable.

Will I continue to watch k dramas with the misses and peep some anime at times. Fasho :ehh:

K-pop is so garbage. I don’t get how it’s so popular.
