I think people here are getting huge refunds because nikkas is making that UPS money...:scusthov:

I haven't gotten a refund back in years...the last time I got a refund back it was 8 dollars...:russ:

Last year I got almost 1500, that was with my part time job during college. :sadcam:
This year I'm hoping to stack it up because I was paid much more. :blessed:

Regardless the amount, I'm paying my bills and going on vacation with it.

LMAO :lolbron: If all they got going for them is UPS, dont knock that hustle. At least its legal and they hire from within. After a few years they might get lucky and get promoted to a Driver. I know Drivers making more than some college degree dudes.

I made a huge increase in pay this year. Finished up college and started software developing. I used to get back around $3000 combined between Federal and State(VA) back while I was in college. I could write off stuff like tuition payed (form 1098-t). This year I am getting back $2063 from Federal $223 from Virginia. I was only in Virginia until April 2012 though since I moved to Maryland for my new job. I owe Maryland $1794 in state tax :damn: But at least my Federal and my few months in VA covers that and gives me $492 to put into bank after paying Maryland. I thought I was gonna get more since I am paying off a single small student loan but I make to much money to qualify for a 1098-e form deduction. I'm not mad. I'm making way more now. Rather do that than being able to qualify for lower income deductions. :ahh: One deduction I will highlight I did use was for moving expenses. It helped out a lot. Was able to use truck rental cost, transportation tickets, and also mileage per mile on the truck.

No :duck: Just had to say that since being a new member here on this site my understanding is everything involved with money is automatically assumed to be a lie LOL. I'm just telling my story. Realer than Rick Ross though. :steviej:

Breh, I used to work at UPS about what...7 years ago...after I moved to Dallas and needed just a job to pay bills...I was making that smooth 12.50 an hour for 25 hours a week. And yeah drivers make really good money...when I worked as a sorter i knew drivers that were making over 80k a year...delivering the same packages to the same places 5 days a week:jawalrus:...problem is though it is almost impossible to get a job as a driver...because them dudes never retire...those cats work until UPS tell them they pretty much physically can't anymore...back when i worked there the turnover rate was like 2.5 percent...so every year there was basically only two driver positions open up.

And there are plenty of ways you can manipulate taxes to get a refund...but generally speaking...the reason why you get back money is because uncle sam looks at what you paid vs looking at what you made and says either "man this dude struggling as it is let me help him a little" or "man this dude making money i am about to take a bigger cut :shaq:"

During tax season at the place that i work...all the people working simple helpdesk or call center or first line support are like :russ: during tax season...but at the management level everybody is like :weirdo: during tax season...
