hard to compare A+ quality games to kratos or even halo for that matter. mario games are just top notch

mario games are pretty much strictly about the gameplay, and not some kind of overall narrative/story
It needs to be a god of war game. Kratos gets sent to another planet and kills all of their Gods. As long as God killing is the theme of the game involving Kratos it needs to be done. It's traditionIt could be deep into development right now for all you know but they just haven't announced it yet.
Anyway, GOW needs to be rebooted, All the gods are dead and Kratos is tired. Or they can make a new IP altogether

no doubt, but then the game seems like it was written by someone with half an imagination. I'm just saying that these games that try to follow a strong narrative usually end up 'jumping the shark'

I enjoyed ascension and saw no real problem with outside of a few contrived battles at the end.

Mario is all gameplay...the story is just something they add in to go with the games. Its as simple as it can get.
Mario continuously evolves and innovates with each gen. If GOW does the same then fine. But if its more of the same fixed camera angle, repetitive hack n slash/QTE I will pass.
