How Bad Was The Cabrini Projects in Chicago?

Chicago been gangster since Al Capone with out letting up .... what the hell they drinking out of Lake Michigan... I know they tored down Cabrini Green ... and this is when the murder rate was higher in Chicago than it is now .....
I'm from chicago but i dont really know too much about the Greens TBH other than what I heard.
I do remember we got lost there trying to find finding some hospital where my mom was having an interview at (we're south siders so we're use to numbered streets and whatnot).
Didn't really feel that "scary" but this was like 03/04 when they were tearing the buildings down. Humboldt Park felt wilder to me....

The only thing I know about Cabrini Green Projects is that Candyman used to dwell there and that dude was scary as fukk.

i forgot that was shot there. Cooley High was also shot there. It was also the setting for Good times too.

Cabrini was so bad, Candyman packed his shyt up and left for Oak Park. Said he wanted to be where it was safer. Speaking of which why was Chicago the place Candyman haunted? Wasn't the nikka a slave? Shouldn't he be terrorizing someplace in the South instead of the projects in the midwest.
