Ain’t no fukkin passes. When they get their ass beat they get their ass beat

Nobody would’ve given the Chiefs a pass last year if they loss to the Bengals or Eagles with Mahomes on that sprained ankle.

56-0 chiefs

Depends on what happens, honestly.

If it's a close loss, the narrative will be that injuries and coaching turmoil sabotaged them. McDermott's fine going into next year, unless they start off the year as shaky as they did this year.

If it's a close win, it's mostly a feel good story about how they made it to the AFC title game, even moreso if they get to host the Texans. Underlying concern about how they could barely beat the Chiefs despite how mediocre their offense has been.

A blowout win is previously mentioned feel-good story on steroids, with new narrative that Josh Allen probably should've been a serious MVP candidate.

Blowout loss is red alert for everybody. McDermott might get got, and the fanbase probably pushes the button on turning on Diggs.

I think Diggs might be gone no matter what, unless he has a monster run. I don't think he's particularly happy there and I think the offense runs a bit better without Allen trying to force feed him to keep him happy.

Agreed. He's not happy, the offense has been more dynamic when they spread the ball around, and they've gotta make some financial decisions since Allen's cap hit is about to get crazy.

I just think it'll go from being a thing their fans accept to being a thing they demand.

If they don't win now -- yes, the Chiefs are the Chiefs and they finally have a top-level defense -- Buffalo can no longer be taken seriously as a contender and will be relegated to fun team (i.e. Miami, Dallas) status for the foreseeable future.
This aint basketball. You arent playing 7 game series. Way too many moving pieces. Its all about getting hot for 4 straight games. A team with Josh Allen will always be capable of doing that regardless of what happens this weekend. Josh can take over and look like GOAT but he can also go full Favre. Conversely Tua and Dak cant reach the heights Josh can but they can challenge them lows.

Sneed is about to make that man a non factor in this game so I doubt he has some monster run.
