I just discovered it randomly digging through 90’s music crates and this shyt been on repeat for the past week.

That production is fukking :ohlawd:

That knock with the instruments Jesus Christ :whew:

The actual lyrics

I'll give you the sun, the rain, the moon, the stars and the mountains
I'll give you the world and all that you wish for
And even more
Girl I'll love you more than you could know
And that's for sure
I'd climb the highest hill, cross the widest sea
Nothing could discourage me
And I pray that you'll be always there for me forevermore, oh

And I ain’t even mention the second verse when bro came through and just came belting in on some CUZ GIRL I LOVE YOU MORE THAN WORDS CANNNNN SHOWWW :banderas:

Who the fukk is writing like that?

…..the sanging, THE HOOK

I peeped it peaked at #7 on the billboard hot 100 back in the day which definitely wasn’t easy for black records but I don’t recall hearing it on the radio growing up (I’m 32) or even in the clubs when they had 90’s r&b nights. Just intrigued what the older heads remember from that time period.

Ah yes,

Classic R&B music

It was popular among R&B fans and heads but it wasn’t a huge pop hit according to my old heads

I’m a 86’ baby

This is one of those songs I always heard in the background growing up in the 90’s
I preciate that :salute:

It sounds extremely contemporary, you could have a blindfold on and it takes you immediately back to that era. It doesn’t sound gimmicky either, on a sidebar I feel New Jack Swing started suffering from that.

The production really sits with me tho, they made an emotional track have something you could groove to. Incredible.

anytime!

it does and that's a testament to L.A. Reid and Babyface's talent as songwriters and producers.

It was a great time for R&B because we had a lot of groups that sounded different. After 7 was that grown, classy R&B sound.

If this song sounds familiar to you it's probably because you've heard Jazmine Sullivan sample it on Let It Burn.
