Gimme my big spaceship looking cookie cutter box named after a bank over a region influenced open air iconic stadium any day :blessed:

:mjpls:WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME
YOUR TEAM MADE A SUPER BOWL?

NOTICE HOW DOMED
AND WARM WEATHER TEAMS MAKE
THE SUPER BOWL AT A MUCH

owners were super cheap. Every stadium that we thought was gonna have a dome and the only one who wound up with one was the US Open and that's because we realized rain kept postponing the event for days and days.

Met Life shoulda been the epicenter for every huge event, indoor or outdoor. Instead it's the poster child for expensive garbage.
I know construction in the greater NY area has it's difficulties but when I'm there I'm like damn, 2 billion dollars for this

Jerryworld was built around the same time and is 100X better

while the new Bills stadium won't have an actual roof, I love what they're doing with the technology to help mitigate the goddamn cold a bit...

Key Features of the New Stadium:
  • Name: Highmark Stadium.
  • Opening: Scheduled for Summer 2026.
  • Design: Open-air, but with a large canopy covering most seats to block wind, snow, and rain, plus steeper seating for better views.
  • Field: Natural grass with an advanced heating and irrigation system to keep it above freezing.
  • Capacity: Around 62,000 seats, smaller than the old stadium, with an emphasis on premium experiences and sightlines.
  • Cost & Ownership: A $1.54 billion project, state-owned, with the Pegulas responsible for costs over the public investment.
  • Technology: Utilizes digital modeling for construction and advanced systems for weather mitigation.
Why the New Design?
  • Weather Protection: The canopy and heated field are designed to make the stadium warmer and louder, creating a better fan experience in cold weather.
  • Atmosphere: Steeper seating and less capacity aim to amplify the crowd noise and game-day energy, making it one of the NFL's loudest stadiums.

This is just the NFL bending to the impending base of people who aren't true football fans.

They know in the future the average fans that can still afford tix, will be soon be priced completely out and the new yuppy rich fans will want to sit in comfort

This.

Xanadu Meadowlands is a huge disaster too. The next Giants Stadium should be somewhere in the city or Long Island.

Not a fan of domes, but games in extreme cold or snow sucks. I get the nostalgia, cool photos they produce, and the "real men play in the elements" talk, but I want to see offenses & defenses playing in real way. I want to see clean throws, catches, routes ran, tackles made, etc. We get this and enjoy it all season long until the end of December comes, and then it's sh*t weather and equally sh*tty games in stadiums without roofs. I get it, but I'm not a fan at all.

Already said, its all about non-football events.

The Kansas City Chiefs new Stadium they are building will be 100% owned by them, but the City will pay the taxes and the Chiefs will keep 100% of the revenue it generates; not just for games, but for concerts and other stuff.

Only people who don't go the games don't understand. shyt is miserable in December and January in the North;

Bro by God's grace I've been to the Meadowlands/Metlife so many times... it's not just the cold, that wind will have you rethinking life. Like why the fukk am I out here? It's not that serious.

If they had a climate controlled stadium I'd be at every Jet home game

The cold and snow can suck, but it's bearable if you bundle up. Where it gets rough is when it rains and there are heavy winds. I've been to many games at Gillette, and I fukked up one time. It had been pouring before this game and I didn't wear boots. I stepped in a big ass puddle and it was cold as hell the rest of the game. The only thing that made it better was this was the game where the Browns turned it over three consecutive snaps in a row.:mjlol:.
