Yelp has changed the game a lil bit .. You can check the service ahead of time before you even decide to patronize . Also I think it helps with staff accountability when they get called out on the app for management and customers to see . White ppl love to complain so there is always a plethora of info on an establishment or biz .

Its funny cause yall post up and down about how so and so shouldn't be eating here or there but all the hood fast food joints like mcdonalds, KFCs and shyt like that are usually always on time and rarely rude other than your occasional bad attitude bytch.

Yall want these unique local joints but wanna bytch they don't operate like a fast food spot.

It can’t be fixed when the food is :blessed:

I tolerate rude service if the cooking is right :manny:
I can't see how you can say this. I mean, if someone is rude to the point that I feel that they don't care, then why should I trust that they give a damn about my food. For all I know, they could be hiding gnats in my mashed potatoes and shyt.

They won't improve, because a certain amount of people will still patronize the establishment. It really does fall on the owner though. If they don't care about customer service, neither will their employees. If they really want to do well in business, they'd address and fix it. They're missing out on people who don't wanna deal with such a poor experience.

Places like that are usually rude to almost everyone so it doesn’t phase me.

Agree here. Not gonna accept disrespect because the food tastes good. Million places that sell food, picture me giving repeat business to a spot where they don't treat customers with basic courtesy.

That Soup Nazi shyt doesn't fly.

Let me restate, I'm speaking in generalities and not saying every hood reataurant is that way.

You don’t have to temper your statement. It is 100% facts. Literally every time I go to an establishment that is not a sit down restaurant in a predominantly black neighborhood, something is off. If it’s not the food, it’s either the service, or the policies (like only cash, or only a card with a chip, or only a card with a minimum of a $10 purchase, or you can’t place an order over the phone after 9pm). And it’s simply they don’t care. And the patrons must not care either.

I’m serious, every time I patronize a place, I have an issue. It gets me absolutely incensed. And because I waited in line for an hour, I ain’t got time to wait another hour to complain to fix the issue, so I’m shyt out of luck.

So, I stop patronizing most restaurants in black areas that are not sit downs.

It starts with the customers, if you want the restaurant to improve it's quality, customer service & resp you'd have to make an effort on complaints and I'm not talking just reporting to a manager, you need to speak to the OWNER.

Once the owner see that his/her customers are making an effort in demanding better service, hopefully changes (more often than not) will come through.

Sometimes as black people we get used to the bad service to the point it's considered normal, just brush it off & eat.

If you want respect and service equal to your money's worth, then you gotta make your voice be heard.
