Having bad credit is equivalent to being a dead lifeless corpse. Eventually you are going to graduate and enter the workforce.
Having bad credit will bar you from certain jobs, possibly making your degree useless. You can't rent a car, buy a house, not be able to get a decent apartment etc. No need to ruin your entire financial future over something that could be fixed if he is proactive.
@OP You can ignore it or be a man and tackle the issue. Really simple. Go in and sit down with them and see what type of payment plans can be worked out. Oh get a job. I don't know what your schedule is but being unemployed is not the business. You owe them and you need to pay them back. Get a job. Any job. Even if it's 2-3 times a week. Unlike the dude who could break your legs, these people can break your legs as well. Maybe not physically but in every other way possible.
but there is no need to continue doing so.
Also you need to stop engaging in the activities that led you to this predicament.
this is an overstatement... i graduated with a degree in business marketing... my credit is horrible literally as bad as it gets... and i got a high paying job straight out of school... i am renting a nice apartment and bought a car...
im not saying its ok to have bad credit but people do go a little overboard with it... most marketing firms ive been familiarized with arent worried about running a credit check for entry level employees.
