You can get a lawyer, but they're going to take their percentage (you may or may not come out ahead). Just be sure that you're including all of the medical expenses, time missed from work, try to work out the "mental anguish" as well and see what can be done, it's pretty normal for people to be weirded out after an accident.

Also, don't forget to file a depreciation on your auto (unless it was totaled) that usually helps a bit.

don't really wanna hire a lawyer. i already have the new car squared away. i finish with my physical therapy in 2 weeks. i just wanna make sure i don't say anything that will cause them to give my settlement the :camby:

Just keep it simple and all geared towards your accident, their goal is to avoid lawyers as well, so bring that up if you need to as a threat point if the conversation gets too far involved and they push back. So you did miss work, you did have pain, you do get scared when you're stopped at an intersection now and not sure how long that will go away. You should be straight.

Same thing happened to me, I rear ended someone and was rear ended before, both times left me shook at intersections. It's weird how the mind works like that. What's fair is fair, you should be compensated since you had a lifestyle change.

First off all do you have insurance and what do you have?

If you have PIP coverage, you bout to do the snoopy dance, if not u still straight but that PIP gets you about $2000 more.

Have your hr department fill out the time missed form.

One thing about a lawyer though injury lawyers usually have their own therapy clinic which is pretty beneficial but that 1/3 is steep.

Shyt, if the accident wasnt debilitating and you can still work.

You not seeing more than 5-10k tops..

I suggest...stay hurt..

Well that depends on how much he missed and how much money lost that time missed cost. Plus if it was a commercial/civil/ or government vehicle that hit him that helps out too.
