Ever since our moms passed, he's been lost. Add to that his birth father is a complete scumbag piece of shyt who lied to him and left him out in the cold. Now he's almost 30 with a gf of over 10 years living with him in his aunt's place and she's the only one with a job He can't stay focused and whenever he gets an idea for a project musically (he wants to get back rapping) or video (he wants to be a director) he never finishes it I don't think he has motivation because I always see him on Facebook talking shyt on Ferguson, the government or conspiracy shyt Like I said, he's turning 30 next year and I don't want this to be his life. He hasn't lived in her house for 10 years Tbh everything was fine and he had a job and his own house with a roommate until a year ago.

30 is not old because he still has 35 more years to retire from working when he finds a job. If you want to help him tell him straight up, cut out that music bullshyt cuz nobody is going to listen you rapping at 30. Have him take a self assessment test; a self assessment is a series of question which can tell you what field you should be in.

But on the other hand you can't make him do shyt;

just sit him down and ask him his goals, and back up goals, and discuss options.
Come up with a five year plan............ and explain to him how much of a bum loser he'll be if he doesn't do something.
look at his daily habits and ban anything that might be holding him back. Come up with a routine -- every thing from him waking up earlier than noon, and eating a certain way will affect his productivity greatly. Even the shyt he watches on TV.....
