How can I monetize my writing abilities?

Start blogging and build up a small audience. Stay active on social media and stay in contact with your fans.


Get in contact with smaller bloggers/reviewers/editors/etc on social media and build a relationship. Then ask them to read your stuff. Then get bigger people to check your stuff.


Get a cover and put a book for sale online on Amazon. Sell it for cheap. Promote the shyt out of that everywhere you can think of.



Put out constant material. People will want more and more of your material if it's good.

Most of these companies pay peanuts, there's so many writers through the Internet they don't have to search for content it's just handed to them
Honestly I don't see how you can seriously monetize writing unless you get a successful book published or start a wildly popular website

It's basically DIY magazine. To put it simply, it's maybe 10-20 pages filled with your stories, essays, quotes, etc. and mixed in are obscure/random images related to the text. Think tumblr in the physical.

Blogging mad flooded. If you got a decent social media following (nikkas that actually support you or fukks with you heavy) try building off of that. Or do the freelance route and build a rep.

but you prolly better off writing a novel. Market that shyt hard and go from there. Later on you might could convert it to a screenplay or something.
