I don't see why you care, to this day, as it's not your money.

They either signed him and had a role player on their team that was vastly overpaid or let him go and made their bench and front court weaker. They couldn't use that money elsewhere since they were already over the cap and he wasn't accepting a smaller deal, so they just got on with it.

The dumber contract is the one Vag(Varejao) got: 30 million over 3 years. He barely even has a role on the team and there's little for him to do yet he still got paid.
