I'm annoyed by it because he walks away for 10 years, comes back sporadically and is the champion out of the blue. He literally came back like two weeks ago.

This is no different than what Hogan & Flair did in the 90's/00's. But since we grew up watching Dwayne, it's acceptable. Just a double standard, imo

But it's all about the money, right? Because those sub-3 ratings Dwayne was pulling on RAW will exponentially increase the profit margin. Maybe they should just advertise more during Law & Order marathons on Saturdays...

Eh....Rock hasn't had an entire career based on always going over. Hogan did. Rock has done plenty of jobs.

The fact is Punk has been pushed to the moon at the expense of the likes of D-Bry and Ryback who are the most over guys in the 'E for some time.

Entertaining title reign for the IWC, hell I enjoyed Punk & Heyman. The casual fans don't really give a shyt about Punk though, hence the low ratings.

I don't know. I like them both and don't think it's a big deal. Plus, Rock is one of wrestling's biggest draws. I don't know why they are complaining. Wrestling is a business and it's not about "fair".

Good lord... the crybaby crew is in full effect for Mania season.

I never knew a worked sport could have so many riled up about match results and who deserves a push and how come Rock gets to win the title, etc., etc... especially since nobody complaining is actually gonna stop watching.

Like homie above said... it's not about what's fair. It's about what works either TV-wise or money-wise. People hated the first Rock/Cena shyt because they wanted to hate it more than anything else. They're the two faces who BOTH caught the most antagonism from IWC "fans" during their time on top, so a match/feud between the two was only gonna be criticized to death no matter how good or bad it was. But casual fans don't care about shyt like that, and that's why it drew anyway. I'm not excited about seeing it again to be honest... but I think this one will have a different tone than the one from last year. When they do Mania sequels, the match always has a different twist to it than the previous one. So we'll see what happens...

fukk ratings. We talking BIG MONEY. Buyrates and the ONLY man to raise that shyt to real record breaking levels is the Rock. They didn't have to get on their knees and beg Mayweather and Trump like they used to..no...the Rock has been the trump card. They'll have to run to Austin soon enough and Cena/Taker isn't gonna be as big as people think since no one is gonna buy Cena beating Taker.

I don't give a shyt about a TV rating, to be sure. But it's funny that those who do suddenly... don't.

Because it's something to complain and cry about and internet fans love complaining and crying Anyone who isn't an internet favorite is seen as the enemy or undeserving or my favorite "hogging the spotlight" . The fans of today are a big part of the reason why I don't bother with Raw or SD most of the time (well not Raw, when I remember its on and I feel like watching it I watch SD mainly because the few people on the roster I actually care about get a bit more shine on SD)

The Rock won and I'm happy as f*ck about it. Can't and won't speak for anyone else.

Since he won't have a long reign and it sets up the biggest money making match at Mania i don't see how you can be mad at The Rock. Yeah he doesn't need the title to shine, but nothing wrong with giving him one last run with the belt.
