The only similarities between destiny and halo is that they are both FPS games. Although you can shoot from the hip (like Halo), this part of the game reminds me of military shooters like COD, BF, TF, KZ etc...than it does Halo.
the movement (built around sprint), quick kill times, non arena maps, loadouts, perks, no powerups on maps makes the game feel less like halo and more like...ummm....call of duty
Destiny has classes fam...CLASSES...3 of them that offer a unique play-style....halo has never done anything like this...
these few things I touched on have turned off the hardcore halo community from destiny...
Destiny is not Reach with RPG elements. Outside of the Jetpack in Reach...what other similarities do the two games have? It's obvious you're a big fan of Destiny....cool....enjoy....but don't try to twist it and put ppl who enjoy halo on the spot for not liking destiny....the two arent related....their fps games...which a few...few similarities but ultimately play nothing alike...

Destiny and halo feel very similar, especially the later halo games.
I understand there are underlying mechanics that are different, but those mechanics are the same direction the halo series has been headed.
I understand why you don't like destiny. It's got all the stuff you hate about FPS's. but for people who like that kind of stuff, there's absolutely no reason for you you say halo is trash and destiny is great or vice-versa. Fans of one should be fans of the other
