How can you not respect Lebron after this?

I'd love the guy trashing Lebron's defense to explain what player in NBA history could have done more.

Lebron didn't have Durant's advantage of having guys like Iggy and Draymond to take the defensive load off of him.

If you switch Lebron and Durant, and put Durant out there on an island without meaningful defensive help while also forcing him to carry a massive offensive burden, then he's going to give up 35ppg to Lebron on efficient shooting just like Lebron did.

Oh, wait, Durant DID give up 35ppg on efficient shooting to Lebron even though he younger, has less offensive burden to carry, and has THREE ballers on his team giving better defensive help than anyone Lebron got.

:usure:

B-b-but LeBron didn't have enough help. :sadbron:

If you can't respect Lebron James as a basketball player, than you're not mentally fit and watching the sport of basketball should be the least of your worries.:yeshrug:

This man averaged an efficient triple double against the best team in NBA history:mindblown:.
Did he win or lose though? People play to win not just to collect stats. Stats are pointless if you lose.

People keep bringing up 3-5 like he hasn't been to eight consecutive finals. 3-5 isn't a mark against him. Put Lebron on any team in the league and they're a favourite to go to the finals.

A bunch of MVPs and all-stars had to gang up on the nikka to beat him haha.
Who cares if your a favorite to go the finals if you will lose?

Going 35-10-10 on 55% shooting against an all-time team like Golden State is NOT the same as going 30-10-10 against half-trying teams in the regular season.

And not being able to shut down Durant, possibly the best offensive player in the game right now, is NOT the same as giving up 20 points to Patrick fukking Beverly while you stand next to the hoop waiting for rebounds.

Lebron was 4-5 with a turnover in the last five minutes.

Kyrie was 0-3 with a turnover in the last five minutes.

You wish they had given up playing basketball? Only difference was that Lebron was actually making his shots.

Last three minutes were:

JR three
Lebron layup
Lebron missed jumper
TT missed layup
Kyrie turnover
Kyrie missed jumper
Lebron layup
JR three
3-5. Let it burn slow.

I have a lot of respect for him :ehh: Bron haters are fukkin' dweebs, but this is a good point. Doesn't appear that he can guard elite scorers anymore. Cavs need an elite defender who can score when needed...not enough two way players... not sure how they'll get it though :pachaha:

This was exactly what killed them.
They have too many "specialists" in one area, and not enough well-rounded players.

...and they were getting too close to the basket to be missing shots they missed.

No one gives a shyt except Lebron haters. :russ:

Ya'all talk like Bron stans be so idiotic that they rooting for him to lose in the ECF so he could "preserve his Finals record." :dead:

And everyone without their head in their ass knew the Warriors were winning this the moment they signed Durant. :yeshrug:

This "losing in the Finals is worse than losing before that" narrative seriously takes an IQ of 85 to get excited about. No one who matters will care about his Finals record when it's all said and done, they're care about how many times he won it all and how well he played.

Lebron has 3 Finals MVPs, 4 MVPs, arguably the greatest Finals series victory in NBA history, a dozen iconic playoff games, and has been ranked top-3 all time by everyone who matters over the last year. He's a first-ballot Hall of Famer and that hasn't been in doubt for a minute. His legacy done been secure.

It's gotta have been hard to hate a guy for a decade straight when he was better than whoever you root for every one of those years. :lolbron:

while that's true, let's remember that the Heat went to the Finals every year he was there bro. Also remember that Wade had knee trouble and would miss like 30-35 games a season. Also let's remember in 2012 that Bosh missed half the playoffs and the Heat still went on to win a ring. A lot of people don't point this out but Bron's teams have been haunted by the injury bug. Wade, Bosh both suffered injuries. Kyrie and Love missed an entire finals. The only finals I absolutely blame Lebron for was 2011. He choked in that one. The Cavs could have beat the Warriors in 2015 with a healthy roster. They beat them in 2016.

LBJ competed and won against a 73-9 team. They added Durant bro. Cavs are a great team but the Warriors are all-time great
Yea LeBron could be 5-3 right now if he showed up against the Mavs and had possibly had some luck with health in 2015.

He's going to be kicking himself for not closing game 3 though. I know Kyrie makes big shots but once it was clear he was ruining the 2 for 1 he should have got the ball from him somehow.

LeBron been great for a long time and he did all he could but the better team won, I got all the respect in the world for Bron. Its his delusional stans that don't deserve any. If Love and Kyrie are ON the same night they can easily hang with GS. They got enough firepower on the bench too they just didnt do their part.
The problem is that Bron cant rest...

He goes out the game and the cavs lose their minds. Kyrie needs to work on running an offense
