I mean, I am not one to worship these nikkas or get into any sorts of arguments and wars over them. But how can you as a man, who grew up and watched the rise of a rapper like Jay-Z really hold some sort of grudge against him. What has he done to any of yall ? I mean Nas let the beef go and there's folks out here still riding out. Most of these State Property nikkas outside of Peedi, Beenie and Chris was never built to blow yet anytime one of em is about to slander Jay-Z people start riding. Dame Dash was an a$$hole and its no surprise he has fallen but Jay-Z is some sort of mega villain.

Just because another nikka made it and you or your favourite rapper didnt it doesnt mean you have to hate. It is nothing but pure hate at this point and I never use that term. It is the only term that applies though.

I mean, the first time I heard Jigga or saw him was on the No Way Out album and when this banger dropped:

A nikka was six years old. In the ensuing years he coming up and taking over the radio with a SLEW of hits:

Then the Blueprint and Black album eventually drop. And now we have this nikka who is at the pinnacle of pop culture. You look at this dude in these old videos and tell me you saw this coming. He is at the apex and we all witnessed it. How can you honestly hate on the come up? There are rich jewish folks inheriting the wealth of their banker fathers and living off their legacies getting Ivy league educations. There are kids in Qatar driving Porsche Carerra's and Maserati's to high school cause they got lucky off that oil money. There are nikkas in Nigeria getting feti off stealing money innocent people's bank accounts.

YET WE'RE SUPPOSED TO HATE ON JAY-Z?!?!

:laff: I dont get it.

nah i mean securely.

As in insecure vs. secure. You have to be an insecure, jealous nikka to hate.

I mean listen to this classic shyt :

:ohlawd: This nikka really came up. Who woulda seen he'd go from making these street records to being such an icon. He and rocafella umbrella's run was incredible and he shed light on some of the nicest rappers we have come to know.

This nikka had a prophecy, told us in the video and he lived it.

Puff Daddy, Birdman, Jay-Z, 50 Cent

is it really ANY coincidence that any time folks make it to the top that there is some sort of conspiracy about how they're snakes or shiesty? There's a saying, I forgot how it goes, but basically it says that when you are going for the top you cant be a nice guy and have to be whats considered a snake to an extent. Only difference is that one gets hated on a lot more than the others. We all know why that is though :rudy:

Interesting thread. I was a huge fan of his earlier work up to the black album. I'm not a big fan of his newer stuff, It's clear he's lost his edge, which is to be expected after so much success and hundreds of verses later. Regardless, I have the upmost respect for how he was able to make the most out of his career. He arguably has the best balance of commercial and artistic success in HipHop.

Even halfway into his career (Circa 2002), I never in a million years thought he'd be where he is today. As kendrick said, any aspiring rapper would do well to even have a career half as good. I don't understand people that have personal hatred for entertainers they've never met. I'm always under the impression that a lot of cats on here are trolling with the hate, if they're really serious about it though...:merchant:

Big fan of killa but how did he?
Cam's two most successful albums were on Rocafella.
Juelz came up under the ROC but he was just a lazy nikka.
JR Writer, Hell Rell etc..thats all a matter of poor management and its something I made a thread about way back (new york and poor mgmt) but nikkas dont wanna face the facts.

Lets look at Juelz for instance. In highschool...musta been grade 11 or 10 back in 2005/2006 Juelz Santana was NECK AND NECK with Lil Wayne. The youth were riding for them two and every fukking body was waiting for that Cant Feel My Face collabo record once Blow dropped. Wayne was in the studio working heavy and he had the public on lock. You werent going anywhere without folks saying Wayne wasnt the best after the Cannon AMG Remix and Dedication 2 dropped. Drought 3 clinched it. Where was Juelz during this period though? What was he doing/

He was being a lazy nikka. Wayne sent him countless joints but the lazy nikka never laid verses on them. Years later Wayne says fukk it and releases I am not a Human Being. But this is Jay-Z's fault? :pachaha:

nikkas dont know how to hold themselves accountable. I blame the lack of fathers cause that is one thing my pops always made sure I did. How you gonna blame others for shortcomings if you aint about to do it for your successes? FOH

Exactly. A+ post. I really hope they are trolling. A rapper should be happy with even a 10th of Jay-Z's success. Is Jay wearing thin? Never thought I'd say this but hell yea. The run is incredible nnonetheless. Say what you want but you have to respect it.

The only reasonable hate towards Jay Z would be towards the content of his music........when one goes outside of that by mentioning his looks and what he needs to be doing with his money....Thats the territory for losers and nobodies. Cant 1 of these loser/nobodys get in the game and do what Jay did for 17 years...Jay Z has had the camera onhim for 20 years and he's been putting on a good show.... Put the camera on these messageboard losers for 1 week and you'd get a boring show.

Like damn, anybody who's seen me post knows Mobb Deep is my favourite rap group and has been for basically my whole life. Why can a Prodigy stan consider Jay-Z to be the greatest and his 2nd favourite rapper but some of these other people cant acknowledge it?

We got 30-40 year olds out here tryna hate just because of a Nas beef that happened more than 10 yrs ago
