Jamaican was a british colony, british/irish people were part of the Atlantic slave trade that brought slave to both the Caribbean and U.S. This shyt ain't complicated

What about the Shaniquas, Shanaynays and LaMarcus', what are their origins?
The la is LaMarcus is probably French in origin, I know a Nigerian girl named Lafontanne, because it translates to the fountain or something. -Shia, -sha, -qua all have roots in Arabic, and Shanaynay is a joke name from Martin.

@MAKAVELI25 @ScoopNScore y did u 1 star this thread :dwillhuh: :what:

its an inoffensive question

or was it the lil shot at AAs :umad:

can u even answer my question :stopitslime:

nikka, who asked you to quote me? :birdman: :ufdup:

But your original claim is generalizing and unclear. Ok, I might know some Keishas and Darnells from the Carribean, but West Indian names come from all over, they have white American names, black names, European names, and others, and the black names are just a small percentage of names in the West Indies.

Also, are you just talking about one country or all in general?
