There’s something to this too. I remember Asian comedian Bobby Lee talking about how when he sees a homeless Asian he cringes. It’s some pride shyt. The VA Tech shooter, Asians basically smuggled the kid’s parents out of the country to help them save face. As an entire community they’re big on keeping their head down and working and also protecting their image in society.

Yup. I know an Asian dude (Chinese) who makes BIG money, owns commercial properties etc., has a great lifestyle, and he never voted in his life. Generally apathetic to most political discussions. Just gets his money, eats good, lives good, travels, and minds his business

People underestimate the benefits of having a mainland culture and country to draw from. So much currency, culturally, socially, economically, generationally, representatively...

There is a world of difference between a group of people having to CREATE a culture in a completely new environment while being decimated and attacked at every turn, and others coming from already established countries. I don't give excuses to blk Americans who ain't doing what they need to do but the scope of what we face in comparison to these other communities is a completely different animal.

Yep the USA paid the Japanese placed in interment camps reparations. Then the USA rebuilt the whole fugging country of Japan after WWII.

Maybe you should understand what they are suing for, before you make a dumb statement. They are not suing to stop affirmative action, because Title IX is being used by White women to get into Harvard, which is affirmative action. They also are not suing to prevent legacy entrants, which is how dumb asses like George W. Bush get into those Ivy league school. So that is affirmative action too.

They are suing it to stop a specific group from getting set asides that Harvard and other Ivy league schools are using to redress issues of past segregation and exploitation that they engaged within against African Americans. Or did you not realize that Ivy league schools were built on the backs of African American slaves? Other schools are doing the same thing.
