Jackson was fired cause he wouldn't listen to ownership, similar to Thibbs in Chicago. He would do shyt like cut them out of practice, refused to hire assistance they wanted and even fired some that didn't go along with what he wanted. The reason the warriors are so close today is cause of the us vs the world mentality he instilled in them, except it extended to the gm and ownership. The Christian stuff was thrown in out of pettiness IMO...

Bogut went from being 6 hard fouls and an idiotic forcefeed on the low blow to being the key to the best defense in the NBA and one of the biggest reasons why that halfcourt offense can run through 4 looks faster than most teams see 2

No I think the Christian stuff played a huge role as well. When your boss is gay and the media asks your opinion on gays in sports, you have to be more savvy than the way Jackson answered those questions, regardless of how you feel. Then on top of that I read management wanted Mark to move to the Bay and he refused because he couldn't leave his position as leader of his church in LA.
