Because he let equally-talented, better-improvising foreigners come up, eat his food, and run his spot. :manny:

Rusev, Owens, soon to be Zayn. His wrestling is A-1, but I don't think they see themselves developing deep storylines with Cesaro. I can't help but compare his mic time against Cena vs. KO's.

Imagine a video package for a PPV Cesaro feud against Cena where you hear "I'm the best in these 4 ropes. Where are your boots? Did you get those shoes from K-Mart?"

He and Rusev basically had the same push. Undefeated foreigner, seductive foreign, instant U.S. Title reign. One had more heat than the other.

I love Cesaro to but the logic now is probably, "Why push him to the top when you've got more depth with Ambrose as face or a returning Rollins or returning Cena (sorry) . No one's going to truly boo him as a huge heel because the crowd won't allow it.

In the foreseeable future, he'll end up eating a pin in a classic triple threat while caught up in the inevitable Zayn/Owens blood feud that'll make everyone forget we had this conversation for a while... :ld:

Cesaro started on Smackdown with a flourish and it looked like the sky was the limit for him. Don't know why they keep giving him the run around and not the ball and let him run with it.

People can like Ambrose all they want but in the end, he ended up just like Cesaro and lost to Roman at two PPVs instead of just a TV match. Seth was jobbing to Roman even before he left or lost the title. And they had Ambrose lose a feud to Bray Wyatt via some Looney Tunes crazy $hit. So let's not get silly and act like Cesaro is the only loved face jobbing out. Is Ambrose vs Lesnar gonna be as good as anything Cesaro would do against Lesnar? of course not. How could it be when Cesaro was the best performer in the WWE since Bryan got injured?

equally talented? Rusev and Owens may have more personality but Cesaro's ring skills are superior and because of that Cesaro was more beloved than the former ever were

As for taking his spot, you gotta realize what WWE had in mind. WWE built Rusev up, heated him up for nearly a year so he can face Cena at Wrestlemania. Cesaro never had that form of longterm booking.. Everything he did was seemingly week-to-week and nothing is more exemplary of that than the Heyman pairing when he was at the height of his popularity. They obviously had no plans for Cesaro and all of his momentum was squandered.

Rusev is a jobber...wtf....they KNEW the fans are with Cesaro...which is why they didn't have Roman squash him and did the handshake bull $hit afterwards. Where has that gotten, Mr. Gray Contacts? How over is he today? Last time we saw Cesaro..he was getting a standing ovation. Last time we saw the face getting the main event of WM 32. The crowd was chanting for a 46 year old played out goofball who got Please Retire chants against Blandy. Yuck.

BALD EUROPEAN, ARROGANT:jawalrus: FACE ALL THE TIME, ROCKS A SUIT WELL, BROTHER!

:manny:I ALWAYS THOUGHT THE OBVIOUS MOVE WAS TO GIVE HIM A BOND VILLAIN BOSS GIMMICK, DUDE!

OF COURSE, THE LAST BOND MOVIE COKEBOY WATCHED WAS PROBABLY MOONRAKER, MEAN GENE!:mjlol:
I always thought a Transporter Jason Statham like gimmick could work honestly. Like he's hired to beat certain people or something and drop a transporter line like "sir the first rule when entering the center of a mans ring:smugdraper:"
