lol, as if the front office voiced the opinion of the fans. We was done with dwight, not to mention neither Shaq or Kobe or any other Laker great got a banner put up like that. Clearly a stupid ass move on the part of the front office that doesn't at all reflect the opinions or attitudes of the GOAT stanchise as it pertains to dwight howard.

I think you mean top 10. even the biggest kobe hater can't name 10 guys with better RESUMES than kobe. fukkin bill simmons who hates kobe had him rated 8th all-time. http://sportslistoftheday.com/2012/...-time-bill-simmons-vs-slam-online-vs-the-nba/

IMO, the lowest anyone can rate Kobe OBJECTIVELY is 9th all-time. this means taking titles, mvps, finals mvps, career stats, all-nba 1st teams, etc. into account.

1. Jordan
2. Kareem
3. Russell

---these 3 CLEARLY have more impressive basketball resumes than kobe----

4. Magic
5. Duncan
6. Shaq
7. Bird
8. Wilt

you could argue these 5 as well, though I would say outside of Magic, I'd give Kobe the edge over the rest. but in the end, i can see arguments for the other 5. the only other guys who could conceivably be placed above Kobe is LeBron. and if he loses another finals, that comparison will be laughable.

IMO Kobe is the 5th greatest player ever after Jordan, Russell, Kareem, and Magic. but I wouldn't fault anyone if they had him rated 6-9. however, saying he isn't in the top 10 at all is criminal.

no Hakeem or oscar???? and lol @ kobe being better than shaq

the gentry suns are pretty much what the 2015 warriors are. http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/PHO/2010.html

steph curry = steve nash
klay thompson > jason richardson
harrison barnes = grant hill
draymond green <<< amare stoudemire
andrew bogut = robin lopez

gsw bench (Igoudala, Lee, Barbosa, Livingston) = phx bench (Goran Dragic, younger Barbosa, jared dudley, channing frye)

you're really underrating the 2010 suns. they swept the spurs 4-0 that year in the semis. they pushed the lakers to 6 games almost winning the critical game 5 in staples if not for the artest follow.

I personally would give them a 50/50 chance to beat the 2015 warriors.

I was never impressed by them. I did like Nash for firing back at Phil Jackson after the Zenmaster made a line about Nash carrying the ball like a running back :lolbron:

i was rooting for that Suns team but you knew they weren't going to win the series.

Eh, I could see Kobe over Shaq if you value sheer longevity over prime. I wouldn't make that argument but I can understand it.

I got Kobe at 9, myself.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
He's regressed like crazy

Nah, same ole Dwight, he was going against a frontcourt that couldn't matchup with him physically. The round before that Perkins kept him in check one on one, and right after that he got put on timeout by Pau, Bynum and Odom. If you had someone that could defend him man to man, he'd basically be a 16ppg guy, same shyt different toilet.

Gasol and Odom are good players, the rest are a little fishy during that time those are players you can take out the game easily
That Lakers team would have too much size for the Warriors. They are struggling with Tristan Thompson and Mozgov. Gasol, Bynum and Odom would control the glass on both sides of the court. A prime Kobe would give Curry fits on defense. Klay would have the size of Artest or Ariza on him (I don't believe they were on the same roster). The Lakers would force Draymond and the bench to become scorers. Where the Warriors would have a considerable advantage is on the bench. Those Lakers teams had no depth at all. Warriors would win more than one game but ultimately lose the series imo.

Lebron knocked Hakeem out the top 10.

Tier 1:
Magic
Kareem
Jordan
Russell
Wilt

Tier 2:
Kobe
Bron
Duncan
Shaq
Bird

That's no order

I like to look at things positionally:

C: Hakeem, Shaq, Kareem
PF: Duncan, Malone*
SF: LeBron, Bird
SG: Jordan, Kobe
PG: Magic

These are the greatest players in their respective positions and make up my top 10. I put the asterisk on Malone for lack of a Championship.

Kobe was a good defender but he was falling off in defense around 07' and was gettin underserved All NBA Defensive teams honors. Bynum was a lazy fakkit during that time, Odom is tough on the boards but he is a more finesse player and Gasol was always soft despite the rebounding numbers. Mozgov and Thompson have toughness none of those bugs have breh be real, the Lakers big are better but them nikkaz lazy.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
to me it was more impressive than what LeBron did.. He took a team with Jameer Nelson, Rafer Alston, Courtney Lee and Rashard Lewis to the NBA Finals while beating a 45 win 76er Team, the defending champs Celtics & a 66 Win Cavs team with LeBron at his physical peak.... While losing to a better Laker Team than these Warriors with Kobe in his prime..

The Lakers got taken to 7 by a small ball team in the Rockets who were starting Chuck Hayes at center there was no Yao, no McGrady...a team considerably worse than the Cavs are right now. Also, the first year they won the title Bynum could only play 17mpg in the playoffs, and 24mpg the next year. You're attributing way too much impact to a dude that averaged 7.4ppg and 5.3rpg in the playoffs during their title wins.

The initial post didn't specify which of the Lakers' Championship seasons it was. Dude just stated a prime Kobe with Gasol, Bynum, Odom, Artest, Ariza etc..
