Because HBK changed the game, first kayfabe ladder match, first HIAC. Him and Bret changed the mold of what a champion could be. Better on the mic, better in the ring, nick named after the biggest show in the industry. If it wasn't for HBK, HHH would of never been in the position to bang Steph and take over the industry. Michaels was chosen over Bret Hart? Not in this day and age..WTF They only cheer louder for Rock, Austin mentions, and Taker when that guy is shown or mentioned. Michaels is nowhere near as loved. He's been coming out to almost quiet reactions for two years now. It's kind of sad. People were laughing when Lesnar had him scared and he was afraid to be around him If that Hogan, Lesnar would of gotten huge heat.

Austin was going over Michaels no matter what excuse he used to leave for 4 years.

Triple H as a wrestler sucked. It's because he had no Rival. Rock had Austin. Hogan had Savage. Flair had Steamboat.

Who did Triple H have for a Rival to elevate him, to push his game to the levels of wow.

No one. He had a great potential in Jericho, as they could play off each other. Hunter's ego prevented him from having that greatness, as he has always been jealous of the wrestlers who could naturally gain a reaction. It didn't help as well when he began to date Stephenie, as even if it was a natural love, it was still on of those things that is a big no no in peoples eyes.

With no rival, and Triple H banging Steph, he will never be remembered a wrestler. He will just be remembered as the wrestler who got into Steph's pants, and got his world titles and the company.

as much of an HBGoat stan as i am..i gotta give Trips the win there....Shawn at his worst just isnt even slightly hateable unless its to one of those people who always called him a fakkit.

Trips at his core is extremely hateable..even as a face you could still hate the guy very much. Shawn is just too GOATly to hate.

Props to HHH and all but the proof is in the pudding... He's felt compelled to involve HBK into every single feud/storyline since the gawd retired, that kinda says it all

HHH isn't a denial guy though, that's why he stays running the biz with the GOAT as his right hand man for moral support

They're top 2 in the ring all-time for the WWE style though, without a doubt. Taker #3. Bret can 4/10 all he wants but he stunk the joint up against Vince and that's a fact.

I think it's fashionable among smarks to downplay HHH, but in the long run he will be remembered as one of the greats. Not one of the GOATS like Rock/Austin/Hogan but the tier right below that.
