spin from the thread should college players profit off their name

lets say andrew wiggins aint wanna go to college, do you think he should/would go to the DLeague

or Jadaveon Clowney going to the CFL until his eligibility is fulfilled

they could sign with agents, sponsors, make money independently without goin to college and wasting a free scholarship

at the same time if a dude go to college, he should have to stay atleast 2 years for NBA and 3 years for NFL

would yall think that solve the problem?

College girls >>> CFL and NBDL groupies.

Boosters' money >>> CFL and NBDL salaries.

:manny:

if a star player was able to profit freely off their name i think they would make more in those leagues

base salary plus being able to choose their own endorsments, sponsors> college IMO

Those leagues arent really on television. Not enough to matter, where would the endorsements come from to supplement making 5 figures?

more exposure in college. Being on Television, cover of magazines. You'll be a bigger celebrity in college.

The minimum player salary as dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement is $45,000

Damn, that is a good ass point. :leon: Clowney could go to the CFL for a year and make some good money for the fam until he is draft eligible.

i think a star is a star wherever they go, it wouldnt matter imo

CFL and D-League aren't on TV like that, breh.

The D-League is only on NBATV, and even then, only when they have one of those showcases. You're not getting endorsements off of that. Being on ESPN 20 times a year >>> being on NBATV 3 times.

I wish more really talented black athletes took that route instead of letting these old ass cacs eat off of their names and hide it under the guise of "free education". They would be getting paid (not much) and they would have plenty of time to develop their talent and not be in some BS basket weaving class to stay eligible. Going right to the pros isnt for everyone but neither is college IMO :manny: Just my two pennies
