How come I just cant get into most video games?

I use to be a shooter gm head, but lately I just can't keep playing them anymore. Been rockin my fifa n madden non stop now.

i think the reason is that all the shooters now are just sequals and its the exact same gm experience just slightly diff background. Oh a new jungle map, Oh a new broken down airport. Wow a half blownup building. Same button layouts, guns, everything, just me watchin a huge cross hair on my tv screen in the end.

Dayum i need Grand Theft to hurry up n drop.

this is how i have always felt about shooter games. ALWAYS. which is why i prefer GTA.

nikka RGIII is in Madden 13

sports games are fun cause I'm a nikka who likes watching sports thus playing the video game is like playing the sport in real life

newest versions are necessary cause I want my rosters to be as up to date as possible.....nikka don't play Madden to play football......nikkas play Madden to play with the Giants against the Patriots.....if you follow the actual NFL then its necessary to have the most up to date game

I also think its because all the top games right now are franchises. Far Cry 3, call of duty 55nba 2k13. Its very hard for a person new to a franchise to jump into a game mid series. Like a kid 1st time playin a COD game and goin online is gonna get spawn camped for days. In 2k13, goin online and playing sum1 instantly. Wont be too much fun.

This gen was probably my least played.

I only was heavy on NBA 2K11-NBA 2K12, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Tekken 6, Batman Arkham Asylum & City, and those Naruto games.

Maybe the games got worse or I was too busy

last non-NBA 2K/Madden game I played was Splinter Cell on the playstation......only sports games get any spin from me......all the other shyt is for cacs and nerds

Yeah, to some degree I agree with this. I mean, I'm so burnt out on Call of Duty, and many other FPSers try to be clones of that game because it was so successful. I still love Battlefield 3 though because every match feels different. There's a lot of variety in play styles between classes, you can hop in a tank, jet or heli. Buildings and cover sometimes gets destroyed and you have to adjust your play style accordingly. Just overall a much more fun experience, IMO, than other shooters where each map is small and essentially the same.

^EXACTLY MY POINT. there are a couple of great shooter games. then the rest are pure clones. the game story lines are all the same, some aliens taken over the planet in 3013. you are the last man standing, or the last half man, half cyborg standing. SAVE us.

or lets go back in time in the past(they stole that from medal of honor). how many times can you run this story line?

It's a load of bullshyt imo. If you play any kind of video game on any kind of device on the regular, you're a gamer period. There's no real or fake gamers.

Gamers have types like casuals and mid-cores (the market's target most of the time), hardcores (takes the hobby deeper, playing niche games), and pros (extreme competitive play for money types).
