I was in Australia earlier this year and went to a zoo. These kangaroos was chillin in their area, they weren’t behind a fence or anything.
Just like this. Like 2 mins after I got to their area, they hopped right past me like I wasn’t even there

They're not, they just happen to be pretty territorial and can get a little wilde with humans if they've had previous contact (like giving them food and stuff). They used to be hunted and eaten, but I don't know if people still eat kangaroo meat. I learned that they generally are relaxed as long as they're not being threatened. Also, if you try to attack one they will try to kill you. Their talons on their feet are incredibly thick and long as well as sharp enough to rip open your stomach should they grab hold of you. Beware

In a past life I used to breed kangaroos. The trick is to make an example out of the alpha one. Take a sharp glistening knife that’s been heated to approximately 686 degrees Fahrenheit. Then slice his mid chest with it. He gon start screaming. But don’t let that deter you.
