Acting doesn't require rare physical talent. You just need the ability to be marketable and convey the right emotions on screen, consistently. Physical presence is secondary and it sometimes small >> big depending on context. As such, there are more short men (only 1/6 or 1/7th of men are 6'0" or taller). Much bigger talent pool of shorter men.

Easier to film a 5'9" guy with a 5'3" girl versus a 6'5" guy with a 5'3" girl. Logistics and shyt.
