Probably because he sneaked dissed Nas on his first album and had no real foundation on his own in the industry atleast from what I can tell. Second album made no noise at all. Also firm album was considered a flop sales wise at the time

nature cool and all but he was never gonna blow. he was kind of dry on the mic. no charisma or star-power. nothing extra appealing about him at all.

if youre not deep into his style of rap and/or the QB scene, then he was never really a factor. he prolly couldve snuck in a hit or two. thats about it.

some of this stuff applies to cormega too.

Maybe it's because I'm a big fan of that Queensbridge style. Nature is nicer than Cormega imo as far as an overall MC. Cormega made far better music though

Same reason cormega and quan ain't blow up. The industry wanted them under nas. They got gassed early in there careers and industry execs put a battery in their backs like they would b better off making money on their own without nas. Once those same execs realized they couldn't
Make those hits and have the streets behind them like nas did, they went six feet deep and nas would help them no more. Period. End of story...

if cormega wasnt so tone-def and didnt flow like he was practicing on beats in a basement, he would have a chance to blow.

dude made some pretty good albums despite those short-comings. it kinda bugs me out.

edit: somebody mentioned quan. i never heard much of his stuff, but what i heard was NICE.

cormega was able to make a way better product than him whether it be a song/album. he was also able to make better albums than nas whether it wants to be talked about or not...the fact is nature was just a great mc. there's very few "great mc's" that will ever be remebered without a great album to go along with it. half a mil and natural elements are about the only one's i can think of...

Natural Elements are underground legends with no legendary songs. They have some dope as fukk tracks but more known for their freestyles. Good point
