How come Neptunes never get critisized for making simple beats?

Dont get me wrong, they're top 5 all time to me, but alot of their beats are pretty simple. I think Dr Dre and Just Blaze beats are way more complicated.

Idk maybe they mastered the art of making simple sound so good?
