My gut feeling is that the PS1 and 2 had more games that still hold up. Final Fantasy 7/8/9, The Resident Evil games (1-4), Metal Gear Solid 1-3, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Okami, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, both of those machines had classic gems for days. The Wii relied too much on gimmicks, IMO. Name ten wii games on the level of any of those titles I just mentioned that don't have Mario in it. And make no mistake--Mario's the GOAT, I'm just saying it's important to have other good games to offer.
Both of the Mario Galaxies were brilliant games. Best games on the system IMO.
Zelda: Twilight Princess was decent but pales in comparison to the N64 games.
Smash Bros. Brawl was a huge step back from Melee (they recovered with Smash 4 though).
Mario Kart Wii? Item-fest.
Donkey Kong Country Returns was solid, but even then, it wasn't seeing the likes of DKC2.
I'm not saying this to hate on Nintendo, because I still consider the SNES to be a top 2 console of all-time.

The PS2 had the worst version of resident evil 4
and the Wii had the definitive version Okami was on the Wii too Metroid Prime 3 og Xenobladeand I'll add Skyward Sword because I love that game fukk the haters.

People who bought Wiis were non gamers. Just another fad that everyone in America try to ride on. For example, im here at my parents house for thanksgiving sleeping in the game room. Next to their tv is their old Wii. No cords. No nunchucks. No controllers in sight. It's been just sitting there next to the tv by itself for a good 4 years.
