Whenever some talks about how British ppl are taking over
"They're just better trained"
Because this is a literal fact you can verify for yourself? And it's impacting white American actors as well. Spider-Man, arguably the most quintessentially American superhero, is played by a British actor. Young American actors are losing out in auditions because their range sucks. And the death/decline of smaller genre films is robbing actors of the ability to hone their craft and build towards other roles. Instead we've got actors hopping from one big budget IP to the next, never learning how to actually act. And the great directors end up recycling a collection of great British/Euro actors and actresses.
Timothee Chalamet is one of the few American actors who is classically trained and doing great. But how many American actors are following that path of doing smaller films before entering the IP blockbuster world like he did? Not many, because they aren't winning the roles.
