Later in his career he did isht with Nas, Kanye, Dre, etc.

But in the late 80's/early 90's he barely had any...except like Jodi Watley.

meanwhile his peers (G Rap, KRS, Kane) had a bunch more.

The God never seemed to like doing collabos.

We just spoke about this on here last week. Kane said Rakim "wasn't that friendly". He just kinda seemed like he wasn't into branchin' out much.

What I never understood was what happened to this dude between '92-'97. The 18th Letter showed that he still had it, but he kinda disappeared for minute before that, and after. Easily a Top 5 MC, but his output is shorter than anyone else in that class.
