Well..... I guess the learning part. Always wanted a motorcycle so I can come down the block like Rico :mjcry:. Is it easy??? Im pretty nice on a dirt bike, I wonder if its anything the same
Got a friend who rode both. He says technically you'll have the foundation but you still gotta get use to traffic.

Honestly it's terrifying. You think everybody is gonna kill you.

everyone of my friends had bikes growing up.
hes not talking bout riding bikes growing up. why do yall keep talking about that? :snoop:

he means riding bikes as adults as a means of transportation like they do in places like the netherlands and in other cultures

There are more bicycles than residents in The Netherlands and in cities like Amsterdam and The Hague up to 70% of all journeys are made by bike

It's still bullshyt. I don't know any black person who looks down upon cyclists at all, especially since a lot of us grew up doing it for fun. :comeon:

Because nobody gets clowned in the hood for riding a bicycle. Period.

The Black Community
I don't own a bike but I see brothers getting clowned all the time for riding a bike. Why is there so much emphasize on owning an expensive car in the black community vs something healthy like riding a bike?
I don't know what neighborhood you grew up in, but in SW Atlanta we all had bikes and to this day, they still ride bikes heavy there; I see it in other cities as well.

And I never see people clowned for riding bikes anywhere; Thread doesn't make sense; Maybe you're talking suburbs or something...

Many posters keep making reference to where I live or how much human interaction I am having on the daily. As an independent adult living in New York City, I've seen people both black and white making fun of people who ride bikes, whether it's theirs or a Citi Bike.

It always ends up back to "socio-economics", and with blacks in black neighborhoods, the poorer the neighborhood the worse the outlook is when discussing riding bikes.
And honestly black women have said some pretty disturbing things, more than the men. Or at least in my own personal experience.

I personally don't ride bikes because I simply do not have the time, but it would be a nice option if I did and it's crazy some of the stuff I hear.
