Completely different dynamics. I got art friends with a lot of gay people in their set, so I've seen how it plays out.

Gay men are basically gassing up women. They emulate women and a lot of them downlow grew up wanting to be "mommy". Gay men love straight women. And, those women don't have to worry about a gay man competing with her dating pool. Basically the perfect friend. Hit the club and dont have to worry about Pam and her fighting over the same brother. Now, if that gay best friend starts making problems, he's going to get punted in a second. Couple years ago I was trying to talk with this woman and her gay friend came over. She was trying toget me do a weekend at her family's cabin. Soon as froot loops started getting giddy about it, she shut his shyt down because she knew I wasn't going if he was going.

Now, with lesbians they all have this downlow penis envy because they know they can't really compete with a man. Butch lesbians HATE straight men because they know they're one slick line from getting their girl took and most of their pool are straight women with daddy issues, not real lesbians. Lots more straight women are willing to try out the lesbianism, then walk with they're done with it. Besides that men want to hang out with men that are legit about the same lifestyle and outlook. Butch lesbians IMO are only as butch as they need to be to emulate enough masculinity to attract women.

agree. I attended magnet schools growing up, % of Black guys was always low so I spent more time in rooms full of females than any hetero guy ever should. Picked up a lot of insight though.

Women are SO competitive with other women that it's funny, and would explain why they would have (flamboyantly)gay male friends. It's like non alcoholic beer or a veggie burger. A faux girlfriend...same interests but not a threat to her.

You do have a point about stud and butch lesbians being intimidated by straight men. I have seen it happen a lot were a stud would hold onto her girlfriend a little bit tighter when they see me, like the gf is gonna leave her right then and there and run into my arms. They know women are more fluid in their sexuality so they have that fear at the back of their mind that a straight man could steal their girlfriend.

Thanks. I agree with your take as well...especially about the differences between feminine men and manly women.
Not sure about other cultures, but I'd have to imagine that both Black gay and lesbian folks have pent up hatred towards straight men(Dad) and love for straight women(Mom). I think the mom can sense what the child's sexual orientation is going to be way way earlier than the father and is probably more likely to accept it and protect the child. Dad is usually not gonna believe the signs and reject the child if/when they out themselves.
Father rejects them, they carry that around .
