How come we don't have a signature fashion look like the 70s/80s/90s?

Like now you can wear a decently fitted T and some jeans and be with the times..

whereas if you look at the past generations, the general "stylish looks" had to be more....extravagant

We still have trends, but we also have simplicity. which is timeless.

White people or other straight haired races aren't even really doing spikey cuts anymore, everything looks alittle more natural and organic now.

We do, you just don't know it yet.

Give it 10 years, and we'll all be laughing at what we're wearing now.

Nah, I don't look at 2004 and laugh like people did at people in the '80s in the mid '90s.

I mean, nikkaz went from dressing like Debarge and Prince in the '80s to dressing like Bone Thugs in the mid '90s.

Whereas now, other than the skinny jeans type shyt, it's not as drastic of a change.

Entertainment is segregated these days. Before 2000 everybody had to consume basically the same trends in pop culture and catered their personal style to that. Now you like things on social media and basically have your own entertainment circle catered to you without having to deal with the things outside of your comfort zone...So you'll see pockets of people that dress the same way but it'll never be like it was back in the day because everybody is able to carve out their own glass house.

basically this...as long as you look presentable, you can get away with dressing however you like these days

These two basically get it.

The internet is the difference. The net allows you to be an individual, whereas back then you got "bullied" for being different. Now, we have to celebrate everybody's differences.
