House music had it's time with us and still do in some places. House music might be too up beat for some folks and the percussions isn't the standard 4/4 they have a kick usually hitting on every beat and a clap on every fifth beat and a hat hitting every other beat. So you get like a "BOOM Tis clap BOOM Tis clap"

Like this for example.

But this groove is what we are use to because it's easier to groove to

I understand where op is coming from. I believe we trapped ourselves in a corner with rap/hip hop to the point where if we venture out and bump something else then we believe we'd be seen as weirdos by our peers. Everyone out here too worried about keeping up the image and being too cool to venture out

It is by design, they have taken control of the content we broadcast to our own people..
Soulful House speaks of love and positivity..the cacs and joos have put in too much time and effort getting us to be mindless dopes strung out on rap to allow such to happen.

Yeah as the poster above me said, it’s bigger in South Africa and even South America. So Brazil, Argentina, Panama etc.

This is more chill out music to me. I have playlists full of soulful house music like this on my soundclound. I have to be in the right mood to listen to it...like winding down. It’s not something I listen to everyday if I’m honest.

This is a good post. To add to your points, soulful house music perpetuates no negative stereotypes of black people. It puts us across in a chill and more positive light. Whites hate that.

Ever had an experience where you meet a white guy, and he thinks he has completely figured you out as a typical mindless urban negro, only to realize youre anything but..
they are always extremely shocked and disappointed you dont fit their preconcieved notion of what we are..
now imagine that same a$$hole runs the Black music division, what will you get from such personalities..what will they push and pull back on:jbhmm:
