How come white players like Jokic and Luka don’t translate to increased viewership and ratings for the NBA?

Its not about being competitiors its about one being american and one having a lot of foreign stars that are dominating currently....ultimately football is just more popular because it has a more rich history and is embedded in the culture of the country...but i think basketball having alot of foreign stars doesnt help its ratings...

Additionally, the fact Chet out there doing some insane shyt and has a funny Twitter account but not really moving the needle for the league is another pretty big tell.

Who watches TV like that anymorethere is a multitude of ways to consume sports, this ain’t early 2000s. Nothing that y’all said is the reason why the NBA can’t compete in popularity and ratings with the NFL. The real answer is sports betting.

Ive maintained its because they arent American....Ive always said the the 2nd reason NFL has maintained its crown is the NFL is 99.999999 % american...

+ NFL still produces WHITE AMERICAN stars via QBs who are for the most, the stars of their teams. NBA doesn't really produce NATIVE (non-euro/ethnic) WHITE AMERICAN stars, anymore.
