It sells a ton for a ton of reasons. It was a pretty good gaming device for it’s time because of the handheld capabilities, it’s a good party trick, kids enjoy it, pokemon stans, etc. etc..

They’ve got 3 theme parks in Universal Studios, a museum in Kyoto, and a movie that grossed $1.3 billion after the box office was pummeled in the pandemic..and this is all without Pokemon. They’re more like Disney than they are like Sony or MS at this point

I get Nintendo just to play Mario Kart or Super Smash with the wife and family....but it's like having Monopoly or some Dominoes. Have fun with friends but it's not shyt you're doing every day.

Mario, donkey Kong, Zelda, Mario kart are all designed to hit the same demographic and it’s watering down their shyt. Media still dyckrides their mediocre offerings tho
Have copy abilities that cripple your mobility compared to regular Mario brehs.
Make not being in the Mushroom Kingdom your biggest selling point while still having similar world designs outside of the NYC world brehs.

I wish they’d release a classic Pokemon game for switch. Fire Red or Emerald or some shii. Pokémon Shield was the biggest junk ever. All these new Pokemon are lame. I grew up on Charizard and Blastoise 
Overrated publisher. I'm playing the new Donkey Kong game and it's overrated. I think Astro Bot ruined that game for me because the level structure and use of abilities is so much better in Astro Bot. Donkey Kong legit feels like if it wasn't a Nintendo game is twould have a 70 metacritic.
Mario Kart World is also mid and if it was a sonic game, then it would get a 70 metacritic score.
Nintendo does produce some good games, but I feel there's more overrated than great games. If you remove the badge it will lose a point in MC.
