How common is it to develop Shingles?

I’ve had chickenpox as a little kid. Adults who’ve had chickenpox can develop shingles later on. Never gotten the vaccine

Shingles is caused by the varicella-zoster virus — the same virus that causes chickenpox. After you've had chickenpox, the virus lies inactive in nerve tissue near your spinal cord and brain. Years later, the virus may reactivate as shingles.

I just saw a shingles commercials and someone I know was recommended to get the shot . That shyt sound painful They didn’t have chickenpox vaccines when I was little.

I've had singles. It was not an experience I would wish on anyone. I did go through a viral treatment to get them calmed down,

If your immune system is healthy, you should not have much of a worry. Mine was lowered because I was on anti-rejection drugs since I had a transplant kidney.
