I thought it was common knowledge that military tech is years ahead of consumer tech.They werent predicting the future. They were saying " the army has this, sometime down the line we'll let you have too...after they've moved on to something more advanced."

FOR GOVT USE ONLY stamped on em. They even had a secure limited access rooms where certain stuff went to certain contractors and agencies.
