Damn I'm old. I remember these commercials. I still ain't got my hover board though dammit. Dr. Emmitt Brown and Marty McFly promised me that they would be out by the year 2005 and I still ain't got one.

Didn't the animated Transformers flick take place in 2005? Where's my
exo-suit?

I thought it was common knowledge that military tech is years ahead of consumer tech. They werent predicting the future. They were saying " the army has this, sometime down the line we'll let you have too...after they've moved on to something more advanced."

This ... Back in '95 i was working @ this computer warehouse that supplied gov agencies, schools and stores with product for both commercial and gov use. Anywayz this was when pentium had sum big rool out of a chip around the time windows '95 came out. As much as the pentium joint was lauded we had chips that were 5times faster and they had big FOR GOVT USE ONLY stamped on em. They even had a secure limited access rooms where certain stuff went to certain contractors and agencies.

As sumteacher once told me "if you can buy it in a store its already obsolete"
