Doug is Bajan/Trini, Amen-Ra is from Dominica, Hurby is Haitian. Go-Go was great music with natural appeal, and perhaps resonated even more with them because their parents' music had incorporated congas and timbales and those elements.

Hurby said exactly that at the Awards red carpet

Respectfully, nah. They were routinely artist's worst songs or close. Rollin With Kid N Play might be the lone exception. Some of the filler on that album might be worse.

Living in NW DC for years, I learned to appreciate Go-Go.. not LOVE it (especially that bounce beat shyt.. the 80s songs had more melody to me). To fully understand it, you gotta be at Howard Homecoming with 3 wings fried hard with a side of mumbo sauce watching them young girls shake that thang. :wow:
