Gucci is looked at as a major influence in ATL hip hop. he basically gives co-signs to a lot of ATL dudes like Migos, Young Scooter, etc. and plus there are some rappers in the game who were influenced by his music and try to emulate Gucci.

Gucci kinda fathered in trap music before it was as well known, and actually made that transition from hood nagger that actually had high level of success and didn't just stay as some local legend like a mac free for example. He also has the body he caught and repeated jail stints so unlike other rapper you can't even come at him like he not real. Plus he helped birth some of the biggest artist like Thugger, Flocka, etc. Dude is truly a legend
